1st Japanese Language Teachers’ Seminar-2010

The 1st Japanese Language Teachers’ Seminar-2010 of JALTAN-Japanese Language Teachers’ Association of Nepal was held at the Embassy of Japan on 23rd February 2010 with the support of the Embassy of Japan in Nepal and in co-ordination with The Japan Foundation, New Delhi.

The program was hosted by the Seminar Co-ordinator, Mr. Sakul Prajapati, a Japanese language instructor of AJISAI and Bhaktapur Japanese Language Institute.

The 1st session of the program was started at 8:30 AM with the welcome speech by Mr. Laxman Rajbhandhari, Vice President of JALTAN and also highlighted about the program. The main Theme of the Seminar was the New Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) which will be held from 2010. Japanese Language Specialist from the Japan Foundation, New Delhi, Mr. Tanabe Tomonari “田邊智成” discussed about “New JLPT, Pronunciation of Japanese Characters and Uses of Particles”.

Teachers from different Japanese Language Institute participated the program and benefited with the information about New JLPT and Japanese language teaching strategy.

Certificate of Participation was distributed to the Participants by the seminar Teacher, Mr.Tanabe Tomonari. Thanking speech was given by Mr. Manoj Bahadur Shrestha, JALTAN President, and at end of the program Ms. Hashimoto Natsuko, Secretary, Public Relations and Cultural Exchange, Affairs, Embassy of Japan gave a Closing speech emphasizing this kind of seminar to be held often to broaden the knowledge of Japanese Language Teachers in Nepal.

Seminar Party with the Seminar Teacher was held at 6:30pm at BHUMI Resto Lounge, Lazimpat, near to the Hotel Shangri-la.

The program was very much successful.
